The Indianapolis Colts are heading into a critical game against their AFC South rival, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
However, they head into this game with some bad news.
This news is about their star running back Jonathan Taylor.
While Taylor was a workhorse during the 2021 season, he’s not looking good in 2022.
An ankle injury has hampered his 2022 season, and things aren’t getting any better for him or the Colts.
Taylor Is Ruled Out Against The Jaguars In Division Matchup
According to Adam Schefter, the Colts will be without Jonathan Taylor in their Sunday game against the Jaguars.
Colts’ RBs Nyheim Hines (concussion) and Jonathan Taylor (ankle) both downgraded Sunday to out.

The downgrade to him being out is a major concern, especially with Taylor seen at the team’s practice.
While he wasn’t playing during those practice sessions, he was doing warm-ups on Thursday.
With his limited work during practice, the ruling of him being out is a major blow to the Colts.
However, the Colts are also missing Nyheim Hines, who has a concussion from the team’s win against the Denver Broncos.
With questions at running back, can the Colts hold off a Jaguars team who ended their playoff hopes last season?
Matt Ryan Isn’t Looking Like The Answer For The Colts Offense
While the Colt head into this game with a 2-3 record, they need a running back to help Matt Ryan.
Without Taylor, the Jaguars defense will put pressure on Ryan and the passing game.
Ryan’s seven interceptions for the season show he’s making poor choices with the ball.
With those numbers, he can’t survive against a Jaguars defense who ranks fourth in interceptions this season.
