The Dallas Cowboys are expected to be a force to be reckoned with during the upcoming 2023 NFL season, with America’s Team being stacked on both sides of the football.
Even though the Cowboys play in an incredibly tough division with two other teams expected to make some noise this season, Dallas could end up coming out on top this year with a defense that might be the best in the league.
However, the Cowboys get hyped up every single year due to the constant media coverage and being arguably the most popular team in the NFL.
Along with the team’s popularity usually making expectations a little too high, longtime team owner Jerry Jones doesn’t help matters when he takes shots at other teams in the division before the season even begins.
Apparently, Jones recently said that the three other teams in the division need to be on their game this season because the Cowboys will be, which prompted quite a reaction from Chris Broussard on “First Things First.”
Like Jerry Jones calling out the NFC East?
"NO! I barely like him being at practice. He adds unnecessary drama. I googled the phrase, 'don't over promise and under deliver' & there was a picture of Jerry Jones next to it." — @Chris_Broussard 🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/G0HA8dtYgK

It’s one thing to be confident in your team, especially as an owner that loves attention as much as Jones does, but it is quite another thing to give more motivation to teams that your team plays at least twice a season.
Broussard is right on the money when talking about Jones and how he brings unnecessary drama to the situation in Dallas because the Cowboys haven’t really done much since the team last won the Super Bowl in 1995.
The last thing the Cowboys needed was a target painted on their back, and now Jones has done it again as he couldn’t resist the urge to stir things up and brag about his team.
