Despite getting to September in a position to compete for the AL Central crown only to collapse at the least opportunistic time, Minnesota Twins players have a strong bond that goes beyond the results on the field.
Fans care more about the results, and that’s obviously understandable, but players also build lasting friendship relationships in MLB clubhouses and dugouts.
They want to win, but friendship is also important.
Friends stick with each other no matter what, and Twins shortstop Carlos Correa has a strong bond with some of his teammates in 2022.
You can tell the Twins are close, and their clubhouse is like a family.
Correa, despite the fact he is currently a free agent and examining his options, still keeps in touch with some of his teammates.
“Carlos Correa is literally FaceTiming in right now to chat with Jose Miranda and Jorge Polanco at the tail end of this event. He’s still in a group text with many of the Twins where they talk baseball every day. Byron Buxton says he talks to Correa every week,” Twins insider Do-Hyoung Park tweeted.

Correa Wants To Return To The Twins, But Under The Right Terms
Buxton, one of the team leaders and the best player on the roster, is apparently close to Correa, too, and obviously wants him to return.
The Twins had given the infielder a three-year, $105.3 million deal with an opt-out after each season.
After having a strong performance in 2022, Correa took the chance to test the market again and used his opt-out.
He has said he would like to return, but the Twins will need to pay for a much larger commitment to lure him.
