The Arizona Cardinals are back on track.
After five straight losses, including multiple head-scratchers, they managed to get a win in Week 9.
Facing the Dallas Cowboys’ sloppy defense was just what the Cardinals needed to get their offense going, and it seems like they’re not missing quarterback Kyler Murray that much after all.
That’s definitely the case for veteran tight end Trey McBride under their new QB.
“Trey McBride has caught 4 TDs in 3 games with Jacoby Brissett. He caught 5 TDs from Kyler Murray across 3 seasons,” Underdog wrote on X.

For years, McBride has been tabbed as a breakout candidate, with the ball skills and physical tools to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL.
Unfortunately, Murray has been either unable or unwilling to make the most of him, which also happens to be the case with young wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
That raises plenty of questions about Murray’s future with the organization.
While Brissett isn’t much more than a stopgap and a veteran backup, Murray hasn’t lived up to his huge contract, either because of injuries or subpar play.
With worrisome reports about his lack of leadership and work ethic, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Cardinals move on from him this offseason.
Arizona could go through some major changes after another disappointing season, but that might end up being a blessing in disguise for McBride and others.
