With the Chicago Bears recently trading star quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the consensus is that the storied franchise will select quarterback Caleb Williams as the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
Throughout the entire draft process, Williams has been dubbed the most talented quarterback and most talented player in the upcoming draft, which makes it kind of a no-brainer for the Bears to take him with the top pick on April 25.
Even though all signs point to the Bears taking Williams at No. 1 next month, there’s still a little bit of certainty simply because that draft is still a few weeks away, and anything can happen between now and then.
Despite the uncertainty, Williams is still fielding questions about what it will be like to be drafted by the Bears to start his NFL career, and he seems to be content with the prospect of playing Chicago via The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
“If that’s the place, I’m excited for that,” Williams said. “The fans love football. It’s one of the biggest things that I care about is a place that cares, and so, if that was the place, I’d be excited.”

Even though Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels are talented quarterback prospects with potentially bright futures in the NFL, Williams seems like a surefire superstar and a player that any team in the league would love to bring in to lead their franchise.
It’ll be interesting to see if things do change in the coming weeks and what the future ultimately holds for Williams.
