Speculation around Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers is always strong during the summer but it’s been even stronger this year.
Nearly all NBA fans are interested to see what Lillard chooses to do this offseason: stick with the Blazers for yet another season or demand a trade.
According to Brian Windhorst, Lillard isn’t ready to depart from his team – at least not just yet.
According to NBACentral, Windhorst is reporting that Lillard hasn’t requested a trade and plans to “wait around” to see what the Blazers do during free agency.

This is good news for fans of the Blazers who don’t want to lose Lillard.
It means that the team still has a chance to convince him to remain on the roster for at least another year.
But this also means that they will have to work hard in the next few weeks to get something substantial done.
Many people were wondering if the Blazers would turn their No. 3 draft pick into an established player who could help Lillard and his team win now.
Instead, they elected to choose Scoot Henderson in last week’s draft.
But this doesn’t mean they can’t still make some moves.
They could trade away Henderson even though they just signed him or they part ways with any number of other players on the team in order to bolster the roster.
Lillard allegedly isn’t keen on a rebuild and working with a group of younger players.
Instead, he wants an experienced squad that will be able to compete at a high level right now.
The Blazers have some time to make that a reality.
But the clock is ticking and free agency starts in just a few days.
