The Los Angeles Angels made their first major move of the trade deadline late last night when they acquired Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez from the Chicago White Sox.
However, they likely are not done just yet.
According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Halos are reportedly interested in Washington Nationals third baseman Jeimer Candelario.
The Halos have been without slugger Anthony Rendon for quite some time and may need some reinforcements at the third base position.
Morosi reported the news last night.
However, insider Jon Heyman confirmed that the sides are not close on a deal as of now.

Candelario would be a huge addition for the Angels, and one that might fly under the radar.
The veteran infielder is hitting .256 with 16 home runs and 52 RBI and has an OPS of .819.
He signed a one-year deal with the Nationals over the winter.
Candelario, much like Giolito and Lopez, would likely be a rental for the Angels.
But with Rendon’s status for the remainder of the season still uncertain, it might make sense for the Halos to go ahead and make a move to acquire Candelario.
The 29-year-old has also played with the Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers.
His best season so far came in 2021.
That year, he hit for a career-high .271 average with the Tigers.
This season has been similar to his 2021 campaign.
The Nationals and Angels have only discussed Candelario’s availability, and a deal is not close, but the veteran third baseman might be worth taking a look at for the Halos.
