Without Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets had almost no chance of competing with the Dallas Cowboys on the road.
A letdown after an emotional win over the Buffalo Bills should have been expected, though it didn’t prepare Jets fans to see their team embarrassed by the Cowboys in Week 2.
New York suffered a 30-10 beatdown at the hands of Dallas and most couldn’t have been very surprised given the talent gap between the two teams.
Although the Jets have several young and talented pieces, Zach Wilson clearly was not enough to threaten the Cowboys’ defense.
Wilson only managed to throw for 170 yards and one touchdown against three interceptions, showing the organization that perhaps they should seriously look into signing a veteran free agent to run the offense.
However, while it would be easy to place the blame on Wilson analysts like Greg Jennings believe New York as a whole has started to spiral via The Carton Show.
“The Jets have just imploded and they’ve beaten themselves,” Jennings said.

Jennings argues that the coaching staff also deserves some blame for how the team has performed.
Wilson makes for an easy scapegoat considering how terrible he looked against the Cowboys, but truthfully the Jets struggled in every phase of the game.
What was once a promising season for New York looks like it is quickly turning into a nightmare and it is hard to envision how they manage to navigate the rest of the year.
Unfortunately, things don’t get any easier for Wilson and company as they draw the New England Patriots in Week 3.
