The Boston Celtics are just three wins away from winning their league-high 18th championship.
They’ve had the best team in the league from start to finish, but it hasn’t been easy.
Given their long history of shortcomings, this team has had to prove the doubters and the media wrong almost every time they set foot on the court.
Notably, that has happened with Jaylen Brown embracing a bigger role in the playoffs, with Jayson Tatum often deferring to him.
That’s not much of a surprise for Eddie Johnson.
Talking to SiriusXM NBA Radio, the former player claims that Brown ‘don’t take no junk,’ stating that he was the most aggressive player and that every winning team needed someone serious like him to get the job done.

Truth be told, Brown has also drawn some criticism for his postseason shortcomings, but not as much as Tatum.
Brown has repeatedly been deemed the Celtics’ second-best player behind Tatum, but he’s been significantly better in the clutch and in big moments.
Not all players were born to be leaders, and that’s perfectly fine.
Tatum didn’t ask to be the most talented player on one of the most historic franchises in all of sports.
So, if the team comes to realize that they’re better off with Brown as their closer, so be it.
At the end of the day, winning is all that matters, and this team has knocked on the door of another title for quite a while now, so it’s only right they try something different now.
