The first day of NFL free agency put social media in a frenzy.
The running back carousel was the biggest talking point of the day, with Saquon Barkley joining the Philadelphia Eagles, Tony Pollard signing with the Tennessee Titans, Austin Ekeler reaching an agreement with the Washington Commanders, D’Andre Swift landing with the Chicago Bears, and the Green Bay Packers signing Josh Jacobs.
Considering that, former wide receiver Greg Jennings believes the former Las Vegas Raiders star will make the biggest impact of all the players listed above.
Talking on The Carton Show, Jennings stated that Jacobs is an absolute workhorse, adding that the Packers can rely on him in any type of situation, and he’s going to put up big numbers regardless.
“I would put my money on Josh Jacobs out of all of the running backs, including Saquon Barkley,” Jennings said.

On top of that, he talked about how durable he’s been throughout the course of his career, which is something that was a concern with Aaron Jones going forward.
NFL analyst Craig Carton added that as good as Jones is as a player, Jacobs is four years younger, and we’ve seen how quickly running backs can fall off a cliff as they age.
This is a cruel business, and it spares no victims.
Aaron Jones closed out the season on an absolute roll, picking apart defenses as if he were scrimmaging.
Then again, the Packers are a young team and are operating as such, and while the fans will definitely miss Jones, it shouldn’t take long before Jacobs will become a favorite at Lambeau Field as well.
