The 2024 NFL regular season is officially over.
That means the best is yet to come.
With that in mind, it’s also time to make bold predictions.
At least, that’s how Benjamin Solak of ESPN feels.
On Monday’s edition of Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams” show, the renowned analyst predicted that the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions would go one-and-done in the playoffs.

He argued that the Chiefs weren’t perfect and would have to face a very gritty defensive team.
As for the Lions, he thinks all teams in the NFC are very tough at the moment, so they won’t have an easy path regardless of who they play.
That makes sense, but both teams finished the season with the best record for a reason.
The Lions dominated the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings twice this year.
When the Chiefs were at full strength and played all their starters, they beat all teams except the Buffalo Bills.
There are legitimate reasons to worry about both of them, such as the Chiefs’ unimpressive offense, but they’ve looked better as of late.
The Lions are banged up, and Dan Campbell hasn’t always made the wisest decisions, but they’re still juggernauts.
Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure: This will be a postseason for the ages, and while it’s hard to envision both of these teams going home after one game, it’s even tougher to predict who will win the whole thing.
