The New York Jets parted with their two best defensive players at the NFL trade deadline. They dealt Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.
Notably, the Jets chose to hold on to their best offensive players, which, all things considered, was a bit of a surprise. Unfortunately, they didn’t have one of them at his best in their Week 10 win against the Cleveland Browns.
Wide receiver Garrett Wilson left the field after re-injuring his knee. He tried to catch a pass from Justin Fields and wound up in clear discomfort.
Head coach Aaron Glenn recently revealed an injury update on Wilson.
“As we go through that whole process, as far as imaging, getting him checked up by the docs before we really stamp what the issue is. Again, hopefully, he’ll be good to play this week, but I don’t want to stamp that just yet,” Glenn said.

In Week 11, the Jets face the New England Patriots in a divisional matchup on “Thursday Night Football.” It’s rare to see a team risk a player in a short week after re-aggravating an injury, especially one without playoff aspirations like the Jets.
Wilson missed Weeks 7 and 8 with a knee injury before taking the field to face the Browns. Even so, the extended rest from the bye week didn’t do much to help him.
He failed to record a single catch against Cleveland, which was the first time that’s happened in his NFL career. Hopefully, he won’t have to miss extended time.
