It’s been a long time since the Pittsburgh Steelers’ last playoff win.
A franchise as historic as the Steelers shouldn’t go eight years without advancing in the playoffs.
Under Mike Tomlin, the team has lost six consecutive postseason games, and the last five haven’t even been close.
That’s why the fans are starting to grow sick and tired of the ‘non-losing season’ narrative.
With that in mind, Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger asked whether the fans would be willing to go, say, 6-11 in a season to get better (via Steelers Depot).

Of course, Steelers fans are not used to this, but they shouldn’t be used to going one-and-done in the playoffs, either.
No one can take anything away from Coach Tomlin, whose non-losing season streak is one of the most remarkable accomplishments in NFL history.
On the other hand, great teams and great coaches aren’t measured by regular-season success.
Tomlin has left a lot to be desired in the playoffs.
Additionally, if fans believe the team’s struggles are not his fault but are instead due to the lack of a franchise quarterback, the team must pursue every possible option to acquire one.
Sometimes, that means being bad for a year or two before getting back to contention.
No one likes to lose, and the fans could lose their patience.
But most would agree that it’s better to take a step back and take two steps forward instead of staying stuck in the same place year after year.
