The Cincinnati Bengals are hoping that this is the season in which they finally win their first-ever Super Bowl championship.
For that to happen, as is the case with every other team, they will have to avoid significant injuries.
Quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a calf strain early in training camp, but he recently returned to the practice field, and head coach Zac Taylor says Burrow is looking excellent on the field, via Mike Petraglia.

Needless to say, when a team’s starting QB goes down with an injury, it will usually be in lots of trouble.
Burrow is one of the game’s best, and he is also perhaps the steadiest, coolest signal-caller around, which has earned him comparisons to Joe Montana and Tom Brady, arguably the two greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL.
Last season, Burrow threw for 4,475 yards and 35 touchdowns, and he has the benefit of throwing the football to three very talented wide receivers — Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd.
But in Burrow’s two healthy seasons thus far, the Bengals haven’t won it all yet, as they have reached the AFC Championship Game twice and the Super Bowl once.
As a franchise, Cincinnati has gotten to the big game three times, only to lose each time, once to the Los Angeles Rams two seasons ago and the other two times to Montana’s San Francisco 49ers.
With the defending world champion Kansas City Chiefs losing a couple of their key players this offseason, 2023 could be a golden opportunity for the Bengals to finally win it all.
