The Golden State Warriors headed into this NBA offseason with a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of the franchise, with no telling what moves might be made or considered during the summer.
One player that had been on shaky ground all season long was guard Jordan Poole, with the up-and-coming guard getting into a fight with veteran forward Draymond Green before the season even began during a practice session.
Although Green was the one that punched Poole, many wondered what provoked the altercation and how the two stars could coexist in the aftermath of the video that leaked to the public.
Ultimately, the Warriors decided it was time to part ways with Poole this summer, as they traded him to the Washington Wizards in exchange for veteran point guard Chris Paul.
With the Poole trade being made official on Thursday, the Warriors bid farewell to the 24-year-old with a video compilation they put together and sent out on their Twitter account.

The move to part ways will likely benefit both sides, as Poole gets the chance to be the No. 1 option in the nation’s capital, which is likely the opportunity he wanted, while the Warriors move forward with Green for a few more years.
Although it remains to be seen whether the Warriors’ championship window is still open, the team is banking on Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Paul, and Green to lead the charge as Golden State tries to pave the way to a fifth title in this three-point shooting era of basketball in the Bay Area.
