In under two seasons, Los Angeles Lakers fans have grown to adore Austin Reaves.
The second-year pro has become one of L.A.’s most reliable players, and on Friday, Lakers fans showed their appreciation by showering Reaves with MVP chants.

While Reaves is far from a true MVP candidate in the NBA this season, there’s no doubt that he’s playing like a rising star.
There’s no telling where the Lakers would be without him.
Making An Impact
It’s truly remarkable how quickly Reaves has established himself as a crucial piece of the puzzle for L.A.
He surprised fans by being very productive as a rookie, and as a sophomore this season, he has taken a major leap.
Reaves entered play on Friday with season averages of 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while maintaining very efficient shooting clips (51.1 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from deep).
As a team, the Lakers are dismal from beyond the arc, but Reaves has been really solid in that department.
Moreover, the youngster has a remarkable basketball IQ for his age and is constantly making winning plays.
L.A. entered Friday with a record of 11-16, and it’s probably safe to say that the team would be in a significantly bigger hole this season if it weren’t for Reaves.
If it were up to Lakers fans, the young guard would probably stay with the team for as many years as possible.
Time will tell how his journey really does end up unfolding.
