The Philadelphia 76ers just got one of the best reinforcements that was still available.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Sixers reached an agreement with free agent G/F Danny Green.
Notably, this came as no surprise at all, as Green had already spent some time with the Sixers and reportedly had close bonds with several players, including Joel Embiid.
Also, he had already played under coach Nick Nurse during a brief stint with the Toronto Raptors.
This news was quite exciting for young guard Tyrese Maxey, who took to Twitter to show how happy he was about it.

Maxey knows Green from their days in Philadelphia, and he knows how important he can be on the defensive end of the floor.
Of course, the multi-time NBA champion is a veteran and may not be the same player he used to be at this point in his career, especially considering he struggled with his health for most of last season.
But we’re still talking about a guy with plenty of playoff experience, a proven and bona fide three-point shooter, and an excellent backcourt defender who can single-handedly disrupt a fast-break.
Green is entering the backend of his career, and he knows the Sixers could give him a chance to win yet another championship before riding into the sunset.
And while there’s still a lot of uncertainty because of James Harden’s desire to leave the team, the Sixers look like one of the strongest contenders in the Eastern Conference, with or without him.
