The Los Angeles Lakers don’t want to spare any expenses or leave anything to chance for the future.
Rob Pelinka wants to make sure to keep the band together for the long run, and he proved it this offseason.
The Lakers spent most of their resources re-signing some of their young players as opposed to bringing in more players, which is exactly what Pelinka said he would do.
That includes singing F Jarred Vanderbilt to a very significant four-year contract extension.
With that in mind, fellow Klutch Sports athlete Trae Young took to Twitter to congratulate his colleague on this new deal.

Notably, Young has been a rumored target for the Lakers for quite a while now.
He’s represented by Rich Paul, who happens to be one of LeBron James’ closest friends, his agent, and also Anthony Davis’ agent.
Young has never expressed a desire to leave the Atlanta Hawks, but he was tangled up in some trade rumors and some controversial narratives last season, not to mention the fact that Klutch Sports athletes usually get exactly what they want in today’s NBA.
There’s absolutely no reason to believe that Young would force his way to Los Angeles for the foreseeable future, but we never know how things can fare in this agent and player-driven NBA.
Young is most definitely the kind of show-stopping player who would thrive under Hollywood’s flashy lights and make Crypto.com Arena go wild night in and night out.
But for now, they’ll have to settle for watching him twice a season when he faces the Lakers and Clippers.
