The New York Knicks are, sadly, starting to resemble the same team we saw last season.
The addition of Jalen Brunson was great and he is fitting in incredibly well but the team is struggling with wins.
Their record, 3-4, is made all the more worrisome when you look at the teams they have triumphed against: the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, and Charlotte Hornets – teams that they should be beating.
Meanwhile, they have lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Atlanta Hawks – teams who will most likely stand in their way of making the playoffs.
Julius Randle is 19-54 over the last 4 games. That’s .351 from the field.
He’s 0-11 from three.
He’s 22-32 from the FT line. That’s .688 free throw shooting.
He has 13 assists and 12 turnovers. He has 15 personal fouls.

There are a few problems plaguing the Knicks but Julius Randle‘s output has been one of the biggest.
Randle is once again experiencing serious hiccups on the court.
He is just 19-of-54 over the last four games.
He also hasn’t scored a single one of his 11 three-point attempts and he has 12 turnovers and 15 personal fouls.
If the Knicks can’t get Randle back to his old self, is it time they send him away?
Rescuing Randle
Randle is just a couple of years removed from winning the Most Improved Player of the Year Award.
But since that time, the big man has suffered multiple speed bumps on his way to consistent greatness.
Because of this, numerous people have pleaded with the Knicks to let Randle go and trade him while his value remains somewhat solid.
If he continues to suffer, New York won’t be able to get much in return for Randle.
The season just got started and there is a chance that Randle will work out the kinks in his game.
But recent history suggests that won’t happen – and the Knicks don’t want to wait around to find out.
