There is still a lot that has to be determined about the rest of the NBA season but one thing is definitely clear: the Houston Rockets are in rough shape and are not making the playoffs.
The team currently holds the worst record in the league at 13-47.
If that isn’t bad enough, they have also lost their last nine games, including a historic defeat against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.
Scoring explosions vs the Rockets this season:
Damian Lillard – 71
Luka Doncic – 50
Lauri Markkanen – 49
Ja Morant – 49
LeBron James – 48
Giannis Antetokounmpo – 44
Anthony Edwards – 44
Trae Young – 44
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – 42

Lillard lit the Rockets up with 71 points on Sunday but he’s not the only one to score a lot against the Rockets.
In fact, he is just the latest to experience a “scoring explosion” versus Houston.
Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks scored 50 against Houston, and Lauri Markkanen of the Utah Jazz scored 49, just like Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies.
From LeBron James to Anthony Edwards to Trae Young and others, there are numerous NBA stars who have made easy work of the Rockets this season.
What is it about the Rockets that makes them so easy?
The team has some great young stars, such as Jalen Green, Kevin Porter Jr., Alperen Sengun, and others.
There is little doubt that in just a few years, they could be one of the best in the West.
But that time is not now.
As you can see, some of the people who are scoring the most against the Rockets are veteran players who have a high basketball IQ and a lot of experience.
Unfortunately, the current Rockets roster lacks that experience and it shows when other players are able to run circles around them.
