The Baltimore Orioles keep getting better and better with each passing day.
No, they haven’t completed any impact trades yet: their young players keep taking steps forward and they keep feeding their major league club with talented prospects.
Infielder Jordan Westburg is the most recent one to go from Triple-A Norfolk to Baltimore.
“The Baltimore Orioles are calling up top infield prospect Jordan Westburg, a source told ESPN. The 24-year-old has hit .295/.372/.567 with 18 home runs and 54 RBIs at AAA this season and is the latest in the Orioles’ parade of prospects to arrive. He’ll be in the lineup tomorrow,” MLB insider Jeff Passan tweeted.

Monday will mark the start of one of the most exciting series of the young season: the red-hot Cincinnati Reds take on the 47-29 Orioles.
Westburg, the 30th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, will be in the lineup.
He had an incredible start at Triple-A, with 18 homers and 54 RBI as a middle infielder.
He is expected to play all over the field in Baltimore, as he has defended five different positions in Triple-A this year: second base, third base, shortstop, left and right field.
Offensively, Westburg can do it all: he hits for a high average, he can take a walk, he has improving power, and he can also run a little as his six steals prove.
He had already aced Triple-A last year and his promotion was long overdue for a franchise that has too much talent in the middle infield.
After calling up Westburg, the O’s still have Colton Cowser, Heston Kjerstad, DL Hall, and other excellent prospects in the minors.
