We may be experiencing the rise of a new powerhouse in Major League Baseball.
The team in question?
The Seattle Mariners.
After a horrible start to the season, the Mariners have regained their footing and now look like a serious threat to not only reach the postseason, but to make a deep run.
It’s been since 2001 that the city of Seattle has had much to cheer about baseball-wise.
But right now, we may be witnessing a team on the rise.
In fact, in the last 60 games, the Mariners have gone 41-19.
That is the best record in the American League in that span.
The best record in the AL in that span.

M’s On A Roll
Who would’ve seen this coming after their troubling start to the season?
The Mariners are a good team and have a legitimate chance to make a deep run into October.
They’ve now taken control of the second Wild Card spot in the American League and are ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays by a game-and-a-half.
Toronto holds the third Wild Card spot right now.
But it seems as if the big offseason additions are finally paying off for the Mariners, who fell just short of the postseason last year, finishing 90-72, two games behind the New York Yankees.
Adam Frazier, Jesse Winker, Eugenio Suarez, and Robbie Ray are contributing heavily to their success, as are their mid-season acquisitions such as Luis Castillo.
A few years ago, the Mariners were nowhere to be found in the postseason chase.
Now, they’ve completely turned it around and look like an up-and-coming powerhouse in the American League that could maybe challenge the Houston Astros someday soon.
There’s one month left in the season, and we’ll see what September has in store for the M’s.
