The Sacramento Kings desperately needed a culture turnaround, and Mike Brown gave them just that.
The veteran coach was instrumental in the team’s new-found success, and he’s got all the players to buy in and run through a brick wall for him.
That’s why they got him — literally — a throne and gave it to him after he secured his 400th career regular-season win (via ClutchPoints).
The Kings really got head coach Mike Brown a throne after his 400th regular season win.

The Kings took care of business against the Cleveland Cavaliers at home in De’Aaron Fox’s return from injury and then surprised their beloved coach with this gift.
Brown is just one of eight active head coaches with 400+ career wins in the regular season, joining the likes of Gregg Popovich, Erik Spoelstra, Rick Carlisle, Tom Thibodeau, Steve Kerr, Frank Vogel, and Mike Malone.
He started his career as a video coordinator for the Denver Nuggets, later joining Popovich’s coaching staff with the San Antonio Spurs, and then as an associate head coach for the Indiana Pacers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers gave him his first chance to be a head coach in 2005, he then signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, Cavs (again), and Golden State Warriors as an assistant before joining the Kings.
He has yet to win his first title, but he’s been named NBA Coach of the Year twice, including last year.
The Kings are one of the most promising teams in the league right now.
And while they weren’t able to get past the first round in the playoffs last season, they will have plenty of opportunities to do so with Brown at the helm.
