The last few years haven’t been very easy for fans of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Again and again, the team has promised great things for the passionate fanatics who continually root them on.
And again and again, the team has come up short and let their fan base down.
This year was even more painful than previous years because it looked like things were going so well for the team.
Joel Embiid was in fine form, Doc Rivers had worked out a rotation that was winning games, and the team had traded away Ben Simmons for James Harden.
Yet, here we are with the 76ers once again eliminated before even making the Eastern Conference Finals.

The team celebrated its fans on Monday, calling them the “most passionate fans in the NBA” and saying there is “no better fan base.”
That may be true but the fan base might be giving up on this team soon if things don’t get better.
Promise And Pain
Philadelphia has told fans that they need to “trust the process” for almost a decade now.
After many draft picks, trades, and false starts, the 76ers were finally looking like championship contenders this year.
Embiid had perfected his game and taken things up a notch.
And the Harden trade only sweetened the pot and promised to make them an even bigger offensive threat.
However, Embiid got injured, the team fell apart without him, and Harden once again became a non-issue in the playoffs.
Even when Embiid returned, the damage had been done and the team was never able to come back against the Heat.
Despite all the promises and all the potential, Philly still got eliminated.
It’s a tale as old as time for the fans, who have been beyond patient.
