The New York Knicks might finally be hitting their stride.
Tom Thibodeau’s team started the season inconsistently, alternating big wins with head-scratching losses.
Now, they’ve won eight of their last ten contests.
They’re sitting on a 13-8 record and in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, and they made a big statement by taking down the red-hot Orlando Magic in their latest NBA Emirates Cup matchup.
That’s why Stephen A. Smith believes they can beat anybody right now.
Talking on ESPN’s First Take, the renowned pundit claimed that he loves what he’s seeing from Karl-Anthony Towns right now.
He is demonstrating that he can be a dependable second option alongside Jalen Brunson.

He also raved about Mikal Bridges’s ability to always be ready to play and not miss time with injuries.
Smith – who’s a confessed Knicks fan – claimed that other than the defending NBA champions, the Boston Celtics, he doesn’t see any other team being able to slow the Knicks down right now.
The Knicks were always projected to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
They had already made a big leap last season, and adding Towns and Bridges to the mix was expected to elevate them further.
Then again, there will always be concerns about Thibodeau’s rotations and injuries.
The biggest challenge for them will be to maintain this strong level of play for the entire season and to stay on the court without injuries.
