Even though they might not be the most stacked roster in the NBA, the Denver Nuggets are still the team to beat until proven otherwise.
Notably, their scouting department has done an outstanding job in the prior years, finding and developing young players like Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.
But now that they’re actually very good it becomes tougher to find players.
They’ve also thrived with the likes of Christian Braun and, apparently, Julian Strawther.
Strawther has balled out in the preseason.
As pointed out by Ball is Life, he’s knocked down 20 points on 67% from the floor and 57% from beyond the arc, 16 points on 56% shooting, and 50% from three, and 23 points on 53% shooting and 45% from deep.

Strawther has always been a walking bucket and it’s kind of crazy to see that he slipped that much in the NBA Draft.
The Nuggets got a lot of positive minutes from Braun in his rookie season, up to the point where they could count on him down the stretch and even in the playoffs.
And with Bruce Brown Jr. now gone to the Indiana Pacers, Braun might be required to take another step forward and play heavy minutes for Mike Malone’s team.
Should that be the case, then Strawther could subsequentially become the next Braun and play rotation minutes right away.
He’s looking like an offensive force in the making, and even though the Nuggets don’t need that much help getting buckets, you can never have too many weapons if you’re a contender.
