Back in July of 2019, it was announced that Kyrie Irving would be joining the Brooklyn Nets.
Along with Kevin Durant, Irving was a pivotal building block that was going to radically change the team and increase its chances of making it to the Finals.
In fact, some people were saying that the addition of Irving was about to create a brand new dynasty in the East.
The Nets had officially arrived when Irving came on board.
However, a few years have passed since Irving came to Brooklyn and things haven’t worked out as planned.

In fact, since joining the team Irving has played in just 103 games.
In that same amount of time, he’s missed 123 games.
This is a lop-sided fact that is causing many Nets fans to shake their heads.
And many more to hope that he really does decide to pack up and try his luck on another team.
Sure enough, Irving’s time with the Nets might be coming to an end.
Bye Bye, Brooklyn?
The latest rumors say that Irving and the Nets are having issues with negotiations and chances are Irving leaves the team.
It remains to be seen if this is a negotiating tactic or if it’ll lead anywhere but obviously, Irving isn’t very happy with the situation right now.
However, with all of his absences and his controversies, some fans are hoping he really does depart.
He is a supremely talented player but there is no doubt that Irving also has a lot of off-court issues that make rooting him on a little tricky.
If he really does leave Brooklyn, he won’t be walking away as a hero.
