The Minnesota Vikings had the second-best record in the NFL this season.
However, they will have to play on the road in the playoffs because they lost the last game of the regular season against the Detroit Lions.
Unfortunately, that might not be great news for Kevin O’Connell’s team.
According to Skip Bayless, this could be the end of the road for them.
In the latest edition of his podcast, the controversial pundit stated that Sam Darnold cannot be trusted when it matters the most.

According to Bayless, Darnold has become the same old player he was in the early stages of his career, which is why he doesn’t trust him to lead the team to a win on the road.
Bayless expressed that he never believed Darnold possessed the leadership or intensity his team needed during crucial moments or important games, which is why he always considered Baker Mayfield the best quarterback in his class.
Darnold has had the best season of his career, and it hasn’t even been close.
Against all odds, he was a legitimate MVP candidate for most of the season.
He’s now slated to sign a big-money deal in the offseason, whether that’s with the Vikings or not.
However, his performance in this playoff contest could change that, which could negatively impact the entire narrative surrounding him in the offseason.
