Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a tough hit on Wednesday night from Golden State Warriors big man Kevon Looney.
The contact was so bad, in fact, that Davis left the game and faced the possibility of a concussion.
If that wasn’t bad enough, he was also mocked by Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, who laughed at the reported injury on TNT following the game.
But O’Neal defended himself for his laughter.
“I ain’t making fun of nobody, that’s not what I do. But I do know you’re not going to stop me from playing in that Game 6,” O’Neal said, according to The Athletic.

O’Neal spoke for himself and said that there was no way that an injury would keep him off the court for the playoffs.
“You see why I walk funny? Because I sucked it up. You see why my toes don’t bend? Because I sucked it up,” O’Neal added.
O’Neal also said that he and Barkley weren’t necessarily laughing at Davis but rather were chuckling at one another.
That is definitely something that has happened on their TNT show multiple times.
Regardless of why they were laughing, many Lakers fans were not happy with O’Neal.
They felt that his laughter lacked compassion.
As for Davis, he ended up not having a concussion and will be ready to play in Game 6 for his team Friday.
The news of O’Neal’s laughter traveled far and wide and got a lot of attention, so Davis likely knows about it.
It’ll be interesting to see if he uses that as motivation to have a strong revenge game on Friday night.
Maybe Davis will be the one who has the last laugh.
