On Thursday, a hail storm took place in Denver that caused the field of play at Coors Field to be completely covered in ice.
The game between the Colorado Rockies and the Los Angeles Dodgers was ultimately put on hold as a result.
The hail even reached the Rockies dugout and didn’t stop until it reached the door of the clubhouse.
It also was as high as the bench, leaving no leg room for players and coaches not in the game.
However, the grounds crew at Coors Field worked tirelessly to clear the ice off the field and out of the dugout.
On Twitter, the Rockies posted a side-by-side comparison of two photos showing the field prior to the cleaning and after everything was done.
They also praised their grounds crew with a clever pun.

The Rockies grounds crew certainly did a “hail” of a job cleaning up the mess on the field and in the dugout.
The hail was quite intense in Denver and ultimately left the field and dugout a mess.
But the Rockies grounds crew wasn’t fazed by such a challenge and managed to ultimately clear everything out and get the field ready for the series finale with the Dodgers.
The Dodgers won the game by a final score of 14-3, but that certainly didn’t take away from the hard work the grounds crew at Coors Field did to get the field ready for Thursday night’s game.
They did an impressive job and earned some well-deserved praise.
