The Atlanta Falcons made a statement on “Monday Night Football” by defeating the Buffalo Bills with an efficient, economical offense and a menacing performance by a much-improved defense.
It was the Falcons’ second win in a row against teams that made it to the conference championship games last season, after they defeated the Washington Commanders in Week 4 before their bye.
The win certainly turned some heads, and legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski recently made a bold prediction about them during an appearance on “Up & Adams.”
“The Atlanta Falcons are actually one of the most unpredictable teams over the last couple years in the NFL. … They have so much talent … can they finally all jell together? I think they possibly have done that after this week’s ‘Monday Night Football’ game versus the Buffalo Bills. … I think they could finally make the playoffs if they use that talent in the right way,” Gronkowski said.

The rest of Atlanta’s schedule isn’t daunting, including two games against the New Orleans Saints and one each against the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.
As Gronkowski said, the Falcons have proven to be unpredictable and will often compete against better teams while losing to lesser teams, so if they are going to make the playoffs, they have to stop playing down to their competition.
Playoff teams handle their business when it comes to facing lesser opponents, and if the wins start to pile up for the Falcons, you never know where they could be come the postseason, given how open the NFC is at the moment.
