The Los Angeles Rams started the 2024 NFL season slowly but have quietly picked up their level of play in recent weeks and appear to be a threat to win the NFC West.
At 5-5, the Rams are in position to win the division and claim a postseason spot, though they have their work cut out for them because of their upcoming schedule.
In seven previous seasons under head coach Sean McVay, Los Angeles has missed the postseason twice, and it’ll need to win at least a few more games to prevent that from happening again.
The Rams host the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football” in what could end up being the best game on the slate given the offensive nature of both teams.
The Los Angeles defense has been a storyline the past few weeks as its young defensive line looks to be legitimate, but they will have a tall task ahead of them trying to slow down Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and A.J. Brown.
Ahead of the matchup, the Rams announced a couple of roster moves on that side of the ball.
“Activated, from Practice Squad (Standard Elevation) DB Cam Lampkin, DE Jonah Williams,” the team wrote on X.

Lampkin will likely serve as depth on special teams as the Rams are set in the secondary with Darious Williams leading the way.
Meanwhile, Williams might not see the field as the defense already features Jared Verse and Byron Young off the edge, plus Michael Hoecht as a rotation piece who can play just about anywhere up front.
