You can tell a lot about a team’s future based on its marketing material – including the New Orleans Pelicans.
An organization will highlight what it sees as its best players and most promising prospects when it’s trying to sell tickets.
That’s exactly what the Pelicans did recently when they sent out an email selling ticket packages.
But they didn’t mention one seemingly important part of their crew and that has left a lot of people wondering.
No mention of Zion 🤔

The email sent by the Pelicans mentions breakout stars Brandon Ingram and Jonas Valanciunas, along with newcomer CJ McCollum.
It even mentioned head coach Willie Green.
But the message didn’t talk at all about Zion Williamson, who was supposedly the future of the team.
Does this mean Williamson’s hard time in the Big Easy is finally over?
Williamson To Return…Someday
Williamson is still currently sidelined due to a foot injury that has proven to be way worse than initially thought.
After surgery and rehab, it was announced that the star big man would need more time away from his team.
It’s so bad that Williamson is reportedly not even in Louisiana anymore and is tending to his physical problems all the way in Portland, Oregon.
That means he’s not coming back any time soon – the chances of him playing for the Pels this year are slimmer than slim.
Some people even think that Williamson has already played his last game in New Orleans.
Before his injury, there were numerous rumors that he was unhappy with the Pelicans organization and the team they had assembled around him.
There is a chance that even when he is fully healthy again Williamson won’t be playing for the team that drafted him.
Maybe he’s not the future of New Orleans after all.
