The Panthers took them down in overtime, eliminating them from playoff contention.
It’s been a tough season for Carolina, but it shouldn’t be considered a favor.
If anything, it seems like they’ve found their franchise quarterback, and that’s no small thing.
Bryce Young has looked much better for the most part since he became a starter again.
Of course, there are plenty of areas for improvement, and they will need to add more talent, but they seem to be heading in the right direction for the first time in years.
While most fans won’t care about morale victories, this team has been more competitive than its record suggests.
They haven’t been the worst team in the league by any measure, and when rebuilding a team, you always want to see steady improvement.
It might take them a while, and David Tepper’s volatile character will always be a concern, but for now, this team might be heading on the right path.
