The Green Bay Packers fell to the Detroit Lions on Sunday night, which knocked them out of the playoff race.
While they are only two days removed from their elimination from the 2022 season, the Packers are already looking for ways they can improve in 2023.
One of the reasons they may have faltered this season was their offense, which might cause them to rely on a familiar figure in their locker room.
LaFleur said he's been in touch with Nathaniel Hackett about coming back to the Packers.
"I know he needs some family time," LaFleur said.
That could be tied to MLF handing over play-calling in order to oversee the entire operation – something he said has crossed his mind.

Nathaniel Hackett was hired by the Denver Broncos as their head coach this season but was relieved of his duties before the season was completed.
Now, Hackett is without a job, and Packers coach Matt LaFleur might turn back to Hackett to lead their offense in 2023.
Under Hackett, the Packers averaged 26.9 points per game in the three years that he was their offensive coordinator.
However, this season, the Packers’ offense took a marked dip in production, and only averaged 21.8 points per game.
There are a lot of contributing factors to the fall of the offense, but adding Hackett back into the fold might be the energizing piece that the Packers need to keep moving forward.
Aaron Rodgers’ future with the team is in the balance, Jordan Love’s productivity has yet to be seen, and the Packers could lose a few additional contributors in free agency.
If Hackett came back, the Packers may be able to retain their talented players, as they are familiar with, and seem to like having Hackett around.
The question is, will the Packers ask him back?
