One interesting prediction to make at the start of each NFL season is who will win the MVP award.
Last season, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs took home the award by putting up 5,250 passing yards and 41 touchdown passes, both of which led the league.
It was his second MVP award in the last five seasons, and the year culminated with his second Super Bowl championship and Super Bowl MVP in four years.
A total of 21 executives around the league were polled on who they think will be the 2023 MVP, and more than half of them said it will once again be Mahomes, via Dov Kleiman.
The 21-NFL executives panel, which also includes GMs and coaches also voted on who they believe will win MVP.#Chiefs Patrick Mahomes led the way with 11 votes, #Bengals QB Joe Burrow was second with 4 votes.
Other vote getters were:#Eagles Jalen Hurts#Chargers Justin Herbert… https://t.co/omXnCAnKNA pic.twitter.com/i3I3JROuJC

Mahomes is the best player in football, and perhaps an argument could be made that he is the best player across all four major pro sports leagues in North America.
He is a magician, and the type of heroic and unorthodox passes he makes in third and fourth-down situations can induce fear in opposing players and fans alike.
The one impediment that could be in its way this year is the fact that Kansas City lost their most productive wide receiver of the 2022 campaign, JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Smith-Schuster is now with the New England Patriots, and thus the Chiefs will have to find a way to replace his production without putting too much of a burden on an aging Travis Kelce.
Still, many have learned that it is not a wise choice to bet against Mahomes, and he could very well not only win the MVP but also yet another world championship this season.
