This season has been historic for LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers…but not in a good way.
The struggling team has suffered a slew of awful defeats, including one to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
Some of the losses have been nail-biters and very close but far too many have been massive blowouts that weren’t even close.
This has resulted in a shameful milestone for the team.

They have trailed by more than 25 points in three straight games, which is the first time a James-led team has been down by that much for three consecutive games.
It’s now undeniable that this Lakers squad is the worst team James has ever been a part of and now fans are wondering if it’ll ever get better.
History (Unfortunately) Made
James has been a part of troubled teams in the past but none have had the issues this one has.
They’re currently hardly hanging onto the ninth seed in the West and there is a very good chance they won’t even make the postseason.
They are consistently losing to pretty much every other team in the league and are sometimes losing by huge margins.
But most alarming is the fact that the team isn’t fixing itself and isn’t getting any better.
In the past, James’ struggling teams have gotten it together at least a little bit as the season drew to a close.
That’s not the case this year and the Lakers seem even more lost than they were just months ago.
This is why most people believe that the Lakers will not turn it around this season and everyone should instead just focus on what will come next year instead.
Lakers fans have thrown in the towel because it feels like the team has as well.
