The Golden State Warriors have not been having the season they expected.
After winning the NBA championship last year, it was expected they would once again be one of the best teams in the league.
But, due to a plethora of injuries, the Warriors have struggled to get anything going this season.
They have a record of 30-30, and currently sit tied for seventh in the Western Conference.
One of the main reasons for their struggles has been the absence of Stephen Curry.
The two-time MVP has only played in 38 games this season.
Plus, Andrew Wiggins has missed a handful of games as well.
He has played in 37 games, and Golden State has missed his defensive prowess.
So with the injuries, the Warriors have needed a few players to step up.
One of those players is five-time all-star Klay Thompson.
We all know Thompson is an elite shooter, but Golden State could benefit from him doing more.
According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Thompson revealed a conversation he recently had with Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
Thompson said that Kerr told him that his game needs to evolve and he needs to be more of a consistent playmaker.
Klay Thompson revealed a conversation he had with Steve Kerr on Friday morning. Said he needs to rebound and playmake more consistently. “Steve was just telling me about how my game needs to evolve as I get older.” https://t.co/RD3te1fFpV

Thompson is coming off a game where he scored 42 points and made 12 three-pointers.
He also added seven rebounds in the contest.
It will be interesting to see if Thompson takes a more playmaking role until Curry gets back.
Opposing teams are so afraid of him shooting that he can help his teammates get open looks.
Golden State is at its best when they are constantly moving the ball.
If they can return to full strength come playoff time, no one wants to see them in the playoffs.
