Julio Rodriguez burst onto the scene with the Seattle Mariners and put up some solid numbers in his rookie campaign.
Rodriguez, 21, busted out with 28 home runs, 75 RBI, 25 stolen bases, a .284 batting average, and 260 total bases.
Yesterday, the winners of the Silver Slugger Awards were announced by MLB.
Rodriguez was one of three AL outfielders to receive an award, joining New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge and Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout.
Now that Rodriguez has claimed his first Silver Slugger Award, he now has just one more honor to claim in 2022, that being the American League Rookie of the Year Award.
Rodriguez is one of three finalists for the award, joining Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan and Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rustchman.

Will J-Rod Win ROY Award?
While that will be some tough competition, Rodriguez figures to be the favorite to win the award.
Rodriguez was an All-Star for the first time and competed in the Home Run Derby.
He also earned AL Rookie of the Month honors twice and was the AL Player of the Week in July.
Just last week, he was named the MLB Players Choice Outstanding Rookie in the American League.
Rodriguez’s outstanding season and multiple accolades to go with it certainly bode well for him as he looks to capture the AL Rookie of the Year Award.
That will be announced on Monday on MLB Network.
The rest of the major awards will follow from Tuesday to Thursday.
