It’s safe to say that the ball jumps off the bat of Juan Soto.
The San Diego Padres‘ star has made a name for himself with his power and his swing, but also the ability to hit the ball incredibly hard.
He’s certainly done a lot of that this postseason as the Padres continue their improbable run.
The Padres and Phillies will play Game 3 tonight with a 2-1 series lead on the line.
But of all players in this postseason, Soto has the hit the most balls that have come off the bat at more than 100-mph.
Soto’s total is at 16.
He had 17 back in 2019 during the Washington Nationals’ championship run.
Batted balls over 100 mph in the 2022 playoffs …
Soto 16
Harper 12
Machado 11
Stanton 9
Naylor 7
Julio Rodriguez 7
Grisham 7

Soto At The Top Of Unique List
Also on the list are two of Soto’s Padres teammates in Manny Machado and Trent Grisham.
Bryce Harper is second behind his former Nationals teammate on the list, with 12 balls hit that had an exit velocity of over 100 mph.
Machado has 11 while Grisham has seven.
This is a unique list to be a part of.
But Soto can crush the baseball when he puts a good swing on it, so it really comes as no surprise to see him leading in this category.
He had a nice and solid hit off of Aaron Nola in Game 2 of the NLCS on Wednesday that came off the bat pretty quickly.
Soto’s power is rivaled by few in the game today.
The ball jumps off his bat and that has been the case for much of this postseason.
We’ll see if he can keep crushing the ball the way he has been.
The Padres will try to gain a 2-1 series edge on the Phillies tonight in Game 3.
