For about a month, New York Yankees fans were left holding their breath, waiting to see what would happen with their slugger, Aaron Judge.
The 30-year-old was the top free agent on the market and was being courted by several teams, including the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants.
Judge ultimately returned to the Yankees on a nine-year, $360 million contract.
On Twitter, Yankees catcher and Gold Glove Award winner Jose Trevino expressed excitement for the return of Judge, who is set to become the Yankees next team captain, posting a few photos of him and Judge celebrating during a game.

Trevino Celebrates Judge’s Return
Trevino is certainly happy that Judge decided to come back to New York.
The slugger put together a season to remember, leading all of Major League Baseball in home runs with 62, hitting for a .311 average, driving in 131 runs and posting an OPS of 1.111.
That was more than enough for Judge to be crowned the American League MVP.
The outfielder also earned a Silver Slugger Award.
His 62 home runs broke Roger Maris’ single-season American League record which had stood for over six decades.
But Trevino, along with the rest of his Yankees teammates and the entirety of the Yankees fanbase, can now breathe easy.
Judge is back in New York and will be a Bronx Bomber for the next nine seasons, as the contract will take him through the 2031 season.
Trevino is happy to have his captain back, and so are the rest of the Yankees.
