There’s no doubting Joe Burrow‘s capability to lead the Cincinnati Bengals in the foreseeable future.
A year after coming back from a gruesome injury, the former LSU standout led the team to Super Bowl LVI.
While they lost that game to the Los Angeles Rams, there’s much optimism that the Bengals will be back in the big game soon.
After all, they have an explosive receiving corps and a defense that comes up with big plays when needed.
However, it’s laughable to look back at the apprehensions the so-called football experts had regarding Burrow’s hands.
They argued that his tiny palms would be a detriment to a fruitful NFL career.
However, Burrow’s comment to the naysayers resurfaced when ESPN shared his tweet from two years ago.

ESPN shared Burrow’s thoughts, saying, “Considering retirement after I was informed the football will be slipping out of my tiny hands. Please keep me in your thoughts.”
Comments like those often come out during the NFL Scouting Combine wherein teams have the chance to see prospects go through a series of measurable drills.
Unfortunately, Burrow’s success is another proof that the Combine might be a waste of time.
Some Great Players Were Bad At The Combine
There’s no guarantee that a player with insane Combine numbers will become successful in the NFL.
That’s why the New York Jets think tank thought that it would be better to skip the Combine and focus on reviewing game tape.
Likewise, Tom Brady had one of the worst performances in the annual activity.
After 22 seasons, the Michigan alum became the greatest winner in the sport.
Drew Brees, Terrell Suggs, and Joe Haden also had terrible Combine performances.
Now, no one can argue that they’ve been great in their respective positions.
