The Los Angeles Lakers capped off their preseason with another loss.
The J.J. Redick era started with a 2-4 preseason record, and while this is just the preseason, there were still some worrisome things about this team.
The Lakers finished the preseason with another road game, this time against the Golden State Warriors.
Given how tough their schedule has been, Redick decided to keep his starters out and rolled with a young core.
He started Jalen Hood-Schifino, Bronny James, Quincy Olivari, Cam Reddish, and Jaxson Hayes.
Following a strong start, the Warriors’ dominance started midway through the first quarter, and they just never took their foot off the gas.
Steve Kerr’s team ran away with a 132-74 win.
When asked about the loss, Redick was as honest as he possibly could, stating that the team just didn’t have it (via Spectrum SportsNet).
"We collectively just didn't have it tonight."

The first-year coach admitted that absolutely nothing went their way in the lopsided loss.
Olivari was perhaps the lone bright spot in the loss.
He showcased his offensive expertise and knocked down some big shots, especially in the first half, but to no avail.
The Lakers weren’t able to add a lot of firepower to their existing roster.
There are some promising pieces, and some of the youngsters could end up having a big role right out of the gate.
Even so, it just doesn’t seem like their roster is good enough to compete at the highest level, pursue a championship, or even be a can’t-miss playoff team right now.
