The New York Giants enter Week 13 with a 4-7 record and in 2021, that is good enough to be in the race for the final NFC playoff spot.
But just when the team seemed to have a glimpse of positivity, they were hit with bad news.
Starting quarterback Daniel Jones is out for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, leaving Mike Glennon to start in his place.
#Giants QB Daniel Jones is considered week-to-week because of his neck strain and backup Mike Glennon is now expected to start Sunday against Miami, sources tell me and @RapSheet.

Jones has not been lighting up opposing defenses this year, and that is why his future with the franchise remains in question.
But he is still the team’s best option to win and fans are now wondering if the Giants will produce anything on offense at all with Glennon under center.
A Tough Injury For New York
The Giants pass offense has been bad as of late, with and without Jason Garrett.
Jones’ highest passing-yard total in his past three games is the 202 he had last week in a win over Philadelphia.
The defense won that game for the Giants as Saquon Barkley had another quiet day with 40 yards on 10 carries.
Jones is the offense for New York and taking him out is going to be tricky for the entire offensive coaching staff.
Glennon is not a threat to run and if Jones was struggling to get the ball to the likes of Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, and Evan Engram, fans may need to pray that Barkley has a career game on Sunday to keep the playoff dreams alive.
The Giants also made another move at quarterback to add some depth.
The #Giants are signing QB Jake Fromm, source said. He'd been on the #Bills practice squad.

Jake Fromm is now with the Giants and could see some action if Glennon looks terrible in Miami.
The Giants defense held the Eagles to seven points last week and forced three Jalen Hurts interceptions.
The same formula needs to be in place against Tua Tagovailoa to have any shot at winning in Week 13.
