LeBron James was drafted as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.
20 years later, James is still one of the best players in the league and is preparing for his 21st NBA season.
Over the last two decades, he has been highly consistent and has broken a plethora of records, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record.
Ahead of James’ Year 21, former NBA player Matt Barnes raved about the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s incredible longevity, via Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson on Twitter.
LeBron James in year 22 can still average 26-28 points a game says Matt Barnes to @BovadaOfficial.
“I’d like to call it ‘Bron-gevity.”
“I don’t think we’ll ever see again.”

Last season, James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game for the Lakers.
Fans never saw this level of production from a player in his 20th NBA season.
On top of having a spectacular regular season, James also led the Lakers to the Western Conference Finals.
The Lakers did get swept by the Denver Nuggets, but James gave it his all.
As for the 2023-24 season, James has nothing to prove to anyone but himself.
The Lakers superstar could have retired, as he hinted at after getting eliminated at the hands of the Nuggets in the playoffs, but he later announced that he’s not retiring just yet.
A crucial reason behind his return could be his wish to one day share the court with his eldest son, Bronny James.
Bronny will be eligible to be drafted into the NBA next year if he remains healthy.
The 19-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest a few months ago during practice.
Once James fulfills his dream of playing alongside Bronny, he may hang up his sneakers as arguably the greatest basketball player of all time.
