There were some questions and slight concerns when DeMar DeRozan joined the Sacramento Kings in the summer, but they have definitely been put to rest.
DeRozan has gotten off to a great start with his new team and Matt on X summed it up perfectly, reminding fans of the Kings star’s statline.
So far, DeRozan is averaging 25.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
His field goal percentage has been 53%, while he has been shooting 38% from the three-point line and 87% from the free-throw line.
DeRozan has easily fit into the team’s rotation and seems to be quite comfortable being a King.

Last season, DeRozan scored 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists for the Chicago Bulls.
Certain people may note that some of his numbers have decreased since last season but that is actually to be expected because he has now given up some of his responsibilities to other players, such as De’Aaron Fox.
All in all, DeRozan is looking great in Sacramento.
This is terrific news for Kings fans, who were hoping he could be the missing puzzle piece that brings everything together.
They currently have a 5-3 record in a very competitive Western Conference.
For years, the Kings have had youthful and energized energy and now they have that as well as DeRozan’s talent and experience.
Is that a recipe for postseason success?
The team has had a promising start to the season but it’s clear that the West is tough and it’ll be hard to get through all of the competition.
DeRozan is helping the Kings, but is he helping them enough?
