The Dallas Cowboys had everybody talking about their next coach.
Jerry Jones had a tough decision to make with Mike McCarthy after he didn’t get the job done in the playoffs.
Yet, after watching one of the single-worst collapses and playoff losses in franchise history, he decided to keep him around.
That’s why former NFL quarterback turned analyst Dan Orlovsky went on record to say that this was the wrong decision:
“Jerry Jones, please stop talking about Super Bowls. You really aren’t chasing Super Bowls, you’re chasing comfort,” Orlovsky said.
.@danorlovsky7 says keeping Mike McCarthy was the WRONG decision for the Cowboys 😧

Talking on Get Up, he stated that the only way to turn the narrative around now would be to have the most aggressive offseason in franchise history, as they simply don’t have enough credibility anymore.
Orlovsky stated that Jones pretty much admitted that he was keeping McCarthy around because he wins in the regular season, even though he’s proven over and over that he cannot take care of business in the playoffs.
He also questioned those who claim that McCarthy shouldn’t be blamed for their playoff shortcomings, asking who should take the blame then.
The Cowboys are leaving everything status quo.
They enter every season with high expectations, yet nothing seems to change, and that’s all on the guy calling all the shots and making all the decisions.
