Damian Lillard is admitting that his desire to win an NBA championship is at a level he’s never experienced before.
According to Marc Spears, per Dru on Twitter, Lillard is drawn to the Miami Heat for a number of reasons.
However, when asked about his yearning to win a title, Lillard said, “It’s higher than it’s ever been.”
“Sources say Lillard is also attracted to the renowned “Heat Culture,” consistent winning at a high level, franchise stability, no state taxes & marketing opportunities

Lillard apparently is also attracted to the Heat because of their ability to consistently win at a high level, the franchise’s stability, no state taxes, and marketing opportunities.
Lillard is also fond of the team’s “Heat Culture” too.
In total, the Heat have a number of reasons that attract Lillard
For years now, he has been the most stable part of his team and has definitely not experienced much winning at a high level.
Meanwhile, the Heat have returned to the Eastern Conference Finals and have also gone to the Finals twice recently.
The culture that Lillard likes is created from the top down, cultivated by Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra, and shared with all of the players on the team.
In the past, Lillard has dodged questions about title aspirations.
He has repeatedly said that even if he doesn’t win a Finals, he will still have so much to be proud of.
But now he’s more comfortable admitting that he really does desire a championship ring.
It’s become clear that won’t be happening in Portland, so he is setting his sights on Miami.
However, there is no guarantee that a trade to the Heat will happen.
