The Pittsburgh Steelers added another star pass-catcher to their ranks this season.
And so far, D.K. Metcalf has been as good as advertised with his new team.
As such, he’s an authorized voice to talk about the best defensive players in the game.
With that in mind, he was asked to rank his top 5 cornerbacks in the league, and he had a pretty interesting list.
DK Metcalf ranks his Top 5 CBs in the NFL:
1) Jalen Ramsey
2) Marshon Lattimore
3) Jaire Alexander
4) Patrick Surtain II
5) Jaycee HornSurtain at number four ?? pic.twitter.com/AzLqRjuS0U

At No. 5, he had Jaycee Horn, an up-and-coming and very good stopper who rarely gets any credit because of his team.
Then, he had Patrick Surtain II, an odd choice, considering that he’s the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and often considered the best cornerback in all of football.
At No. 3, he chose Jaire Alexander, who was a star a couple of years ago, but hasn’t been able to stay healthy for a while now.
He later had Marshon Lattimore at No. 2, and while he used to be a force, he’s also taken a bit of a step back with the years.
Last but not least, he chose one of his own teammates, Jalen Ramsey, as the best cornerback in the game.
He’s still a force, although perhaps not the best in the game.
To each his own, although some of this has to be taken with a grain of salt, all things considered.
At the end of the day, one thing’s for sure for Metcalf: He’s going to put up big numbers, regardless of who’s trying to contain him in the open field.
