The NFL world has been buzzing over the last few days, as Pete Carroll has seemingly expressed an interest in returning to the NFL.
Many thought he was done coaching in this league after he left the Seattle Seahawks, but it appears to not be the case any longer.
Carroll is a legendary coach and with a few teams looking to fill positions during the offseason, he could be a strong fit for any team.
He’s reportedly most interested in the Chicago Bears job, hoping to link up with Caleb Williams and help develop him in the early stages of his career.
Colin Cowherd made a case for the Bears to interview him in a recent video he shared on X, outlining his rationale.
“I would absolutely invite him for an interview. What is Pete’s strength? Energy,” Cowherd said, adding, “If you have the want and the means in your 70s, in this day and age, you can stay pretty young. Pete could handle the bureaucracy and the politics and the hurdles of the Chicago job, and there are many.”

Cowherd believes that because of Carroll’s experience, both as a person and as a coach, he could be a great solution to some of the Bears’ problems.
He pointed to Carroll’s development of Russell Wilson, who Cowherd sees as a less-talented player than Williams, as a notable reason for the Bears to hire him.
No coach is guaranteed success in this league, but if given the chance, Carroll could have an immeasurable impact on this team moving forward.
